New Research Highlights Parent Support
Recent findings from the Youth Sport Trust reveal a compelling trend: three quarters of parents support an “Always Active” uniform policy in schools. This growing support reflects a broader understanding of the role that clothing plays in encouraging—or discouraging—children’s physical activity throughout the day.
Why ActivAll Supports the “Always Active” Approach
At ActivAll, we’re strong advocates for anything that helps children move more, every day. Traditional school uniforms—complete with stiff blazers, ties, and formal shirts—can restrict movement and limit opportunities for spontaneous play and physical activity.
In contrast, an “Always Active” uniform, designed for comfort and mobility, gives pupils the freedom to move naturally during lessons, breaks, and throughout the school day.
Less Time Changing, More Time Moving
From a practical standpoint, the time spent changing in and out of PE kits is not only inconvenient but can be a significant challenge for teachers, especially in packed timetables. Activewear-style uniforms eliminate this barrier, allowing students to transition seamlessly into physical activities without losing valuable learning time.
Join the Movement During National School Sports Week
As part of National School Sports Week, running from 16th June, the Youth Sport Trust is encouraging schools to adopt the “Always Active” approach. This initiative isn’t just about uniform—it’s about creating a school culture that prioritises physical activity, wellbeing, and healthy habits.
